The 5-day plan

Day 1 — Delhi → Shimla
Early start up NH-44/NH-5 through the Shivalik hills. Evening stroll on the Ridge and Mall Road; the car stays parked at your hotel.

Day 2 — Shimla — Kufri
Day trip to Kufri for the Himalayan views and the small zoo, back in Shimla for an unhurried evening. Driver knows the parking spots near the Ridge.

Day 3 — Shimla → Manali
The long, lovely mountain drive via Mandi and the Kullu valley — white-water rafting point optional on the way (rafting booked with local operators, your own).

Day 4 — Manali — Solang Valley
Solang Valley for the ropeway and adventure activities, then Hadimba Temple and Old Manali in the evening.

Day 5 — Manali → Delhi
Start early — it's a full day's drive back down the mountains to Delhi. We plan the halt points with you so the day stays comfortable.

Food, tea & facilities
Nobody skips Murthal on the way out of Delhi, that's just how it is. In the hills, eat on Shimla's Mall Road and save an evening for Old Manali's cafes.

Shimla and Manali towns have licensed shops. Highways don't sell any, so buy in town if you plan to carry any for the hotel.
Restrooms & Sulabh Shauchalaya
Sulabh complexes in Shimla and Manali. On the highways it's toll plazas and large petrol pumps. Mountain stretches have fewer options, plan accordingly.
