What we do
Cheapcab is an intercity and local taxi booking service. We specialise in the trips where a private car with a driver beats every other option: outstation round trips, one-way drops between cities, local hourly rentals for a day in town, and airport transfers. You get a clean, well-maintained car and a professional driver who knows the route — and you never have to haggle, decode a bill, or wonder what the "extra charges" line means.
How the model works
We run an asset-light partner model: instead of buying our own fleet, we partner with local taxi operators and verified owner-drivers across the country. That keeps our costs down and lets us offer competitive per-km rates while the drivers who actually know your city's roads do the driving. Every driver partner is screened, and every trip is booked against a reference number you can quote to our support team.

We match a verified driver
We don't own cars. We work with a network of local taxi operators and verified owner-drivers in each city, and assign one whose car and route experience fits your trip.

You pay a transparent fare
The estimate shows the full breakup — per-km base fare, driver allowance, toll and GST — before you book. A 20% UPI advance confirms your booking (or our team confirms it on a call if you choose ‘Pay on call’); we call to confirm every booking either way.
How fares are calculated
Every estimate on this site is built from the same formula, shown line by line in the fare breakup on each car card:
- Per-km base fare by car class (sedan, SUV or Innova)
- Driver allowance of ₹300 per day — your driver's meals and rest are on us, not hidden in the fare
- Toll tax included from actual, verified plaza rates on our route pages
- 5% GST on the base fare plus driver allowance
- Outstation round trips bill a minimum of 250 km per calendar day — the car and driver stay with you
- State tax is included in your fare at current state rates — parking is charged at actuals, receipts stay with your driver
